What Can You Do Right Now?

You’re Not Helpless. Here Are a Few Things You Can Do:

• Talk to Your Parents

Ask them what’s going on, if they feel okay talking about it. You deserve to understand what’s happening.

• Check In with a School Counselor

They’re trained to help kids going through tough family situations—including housing instability. They might even know local resources your parents don’t.

• Support Your Family Emotionally

Remind them that you’re in it together. A simple “We’ll get through this” can actually make a huge difference.

• Do the Things That Keep You Grounded

That might be school, sports, journaling, art, music, games, or talking to friends. Don’t stop being a teen just because your family is under stress.

• Save This Site, Share It, Bookmark It

Whether or not your family is in foreclosure right now, you might know someone else who is. Let them know they’re not alone either.
